I've had a recurring problem with swallowing my coffee this week. Seems I keep trying to suck it down my lungs instead of swallowing normally. This causes ten minutes of profuse coughing and gagging and gasping. Then about another 10 of breathlessness and pain. By the time those 20 minutes have flown by, my coffee is cold!! - Barbara
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527377251362291559.post-46581522934759869192006-05-19T12:08:00.000-07:002006-05-19T12:08:00.000-07:00yep i have had this happen LOL not funny but it is...yep i have had this happen LOL not funny but it is lol have a good weekend

DebAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527377251362291559.post-21975613055990896782006-05-19T22:30:00.000-07:002006-05-19T22:30:00.000-07:00Now try imagining BOTH feet are asleep...24 hours ...Now try imagining BOTH feet are asleep...24 hours a day 7 days a week. Think of how it hurts like the devil when your feet are trying to wake up (but they won't wake up). And you can't even wear flip flops because you had surgery to take joints out of your toes so you darn sure can't grip. LOL That's my feet. Talk about annoying. There is NOTHING more annoying that feet that won't wake up, well, I take that back, there's that woman in Walmart who stops in the middle of EVERY aisle and no matter what you do or say, won't move her cart. Ive muscled my way past that bitty more than once. HEEHEE. I digress. I am SO glad you didn't fall and I hope you were successful in refilling your mug without incident.
Love ya
BarbAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527377251362291559.post-40028736912060420512006-05-19T22:32:00.000-07:002006-05-19T22:32:00.000-07:00well I must say that has never happened to me. F...Hi Barbara, I think I can explain this for you. First, your right side "fell asleep" because while you were sitting, you were pinching the nerve that leads to our lower appendatures, our legs. That nerve begins in our butt area, so sitting down for too long can cause lack of feeling as well as circulation. It can happen to either or both legs. I have Neurpathy, which means I can't feel anything below my left knee. I know the feeling. But while mine's incureable, yours is. Every so often while you're at your puter, just lift your butt, let the blood re-circulate into your legs. Stand up for Pete's sake! GETTING UP FOR ANOTHER COFFEE IS A PERFECT WAY TO DO THIS! I make sure I only bring a small cup when I sit down to work, so I'll be forced to get up and circulate the blood through muscles where my nerve endings are. So, your side didn't "fall alseep" it went numb from lack of circulation to the nerve endings. As for the flip-flops, since I can't feel my left foot, I can't wear them - that's the reason yours fell off on that side, because your toes has no feeling to grab onto the sandal. Frustrating, I know.
Just remember to get up now and again to let the blood reflow through your legs, I promise you'll have no problem. HONEST! So I had to sit on the ground in such a way to be lady like and when class was over and I stood up both my lower legs and feet were asleep so I walked right out of my shoes, they were loafers... But I was cool, slipped them back on and headed straight for a bench like nothing was wrong. lol...
Linda :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527377251362291559.post-28558273163514871812006-05-21T09:39:00.000-07:002006-05-21T09:39:00.000-07:00LOL!
