HERE I AM

Employee of the Month

That's right.  I got Employee of the Month!  How's that folks?

They took my picture yesterday and put a huge poster of it on the wall.  Wow.

I have only been there 1 year and 10 months.

They put something like...

Barbara M is this months pick for employee of the month.  Barbara makes sure each and every customer is waited on with a smile and takes care of their needs no matter what situation occurs.

She is friendly to all co workers and takes time to talk to all the children who come into the store.  She is also helpful in other departments of the store as needed.  She will come in early and stay late if needed.

Her items per minute have greatly improved.  She is always on time and never late.

She shows up for her posted hours and comes in if we need a helping hand.

Barbara is a great asset to our company.

And some more blah blah blah too.

I was so surprised.

Now if I could only get that one employee who beats me to the store in the morning and steals my shade tree......

I think I should get my special parking place for all this month....not going to happen....

Well I guess I better get my butt on the road and go to work

I have a reputation now.....

I really did cut my hair.  I will try to get Rick to take my picture of it so you can all see the extreme makeover.

God Answers Prayer

Eric found a job!  And not just any job either!  It is one of Austins most wonderful restaurants!  It is called The Oasis.   He starts tomorrow.  Prayers from all of you have helped this to happen.

Please continue to pray for Eric as it is always stressful starting a new job.  But I have faith that he will do great!

Hi Everyone!

It's me...you know Miss Barbara

Remember me?

Ok well I just wanted to drop by and say that I went to see Eric this weekend.

He is still looking for a job in Austin, so if any of you know of any Chef jobs in the area I would REALLY appreciate you passing them on to me.

Eric has his associates degree in Culinary and needs a job to stay in Austin.

Also a bit of more sad news.....my computer went berserk.  I lost all my pictures, two books I was writing and numerous other things I don't even remember yet. I had to start over on everything.

THANK GOD  for this journal as I have put most of my pictures in it and I can at least retrieve them from here.

I learned a very important lesson....

Save everything that matters to a disc or something.

I just thought it was safely stored here in my computer....wrong ...again.

My Mom is pretty weak right now.  She will have another chemo treatment on Weds.  Please say a prayer for her.

I have not written because I like to be upbeat and things are on the down beat right now.

But don't worry I have not given up!

1.  Eric will find a job soon and one that he enjoys

2.  My Mom will get well.

3.  My family and friends love me and are praying for me.

4.  I have a good job and able to help Eric out.

5.  Rick has a good job and able to help Eric out.

6.  Tiny is doing great.

7.  My good luck is just around the corner.  I just need a ride there.

8.  God is great, but sometimes life ain't good. When I pray things don't always turn out like I think they should but I do it anyway.

I dream, I sing , I love anyway.
