Quick Update....

I do not know what they are doing to me at work.  Last week I worked three days in the Pharmacy and all I heard was praise even from the main director of the store.  Then Sat. I was a cashier.

This week I am all over the store...

Tomorrow...Monday Cashier 7-3:30

Tuesday Candy....what the heck?  Guess the person they got to replace me didn't work out

Weds. Cashier 6-2

Thurs Pharmacy 1-7...now wait a minute!  That isn't even in my availability....The only day I said I can not work is Thurs after 2 because...um I NEED TO WATCH SURVIVOR!!!!!!  I am going to see if I can get off in time to rush home so I don't miss anything. I live like 5 minutes away so if I leave at 6:55 I can make it....

Friday I am off

Saturday....candy...ok

Sunday off.

Oh well what is a girl to do?  I am thinking that maybe they are just going to keep me doing both candy and pharmacy and then cashier on the other days.....whatever....

I really LOVE working in the Pharmacy!

Ok now to my health.

I have been a sick little girl.

I have been coughing my guts out for 4 weeks now.  I have a upper respiratory infection and sinus infection.

I went back to the doctor and he put me on a stronger antibotic and stronger cough medicine,  this time it is pills that I have to take three times a day.  This seems to be helping more.

As for the antibotic it is really strong. You take two the first day and only one for 5 more days.

Tomorrow I take my last one....

So HOPEFULLY I will feel great again soon.

I hope so because I am really getting tired of coughing and spitting.  Not to mention a few other things.....

ok that is it for now.

Eric and Rick are doing great!  Eric needs more hours at work.

My mom is very sick.  She had to go to the hospital yesterday because she was dehydrated.  She just had her fourth round of chemo the other day.  Please say a prayer for her.

Tiny said to say Hi!

I will have some pictures for you all soon.

And I am still on the wall as Employee of the Month......Maybe I will be Employee of the Year LOL or they don't know who to replace me with.

Until later Keep Smiling, Keep Loving and Keep Dreaming

AND NEVER NEVER STOP PRAYING!

PROMOTION

Well, I have been Promoted.  They replaced me in the candy job and I am now working in the Pharmacy!  Tomorrow will be my third day.  So far I like it alot.  The first day all I did was answer the phones and refill prescriptions.  Then they put me on the drive through for the rest of the day.

Today I started out in the drive through and after lunch was moved to the main lobby.

Tomorrow I am not sure where I will be working in the Pharmacy, but I am learning new things everyday.

There sure are alot of people in my area with bad coughs.

Me included.  I did go to the doctor and am on cough medicine and antibiotic.  But I am still coughing really hard and alot.

The girl I do candy with who was so hard on me told me she missed me alot.  She is upset because they moved me.  So are alot of my managers up front .

I seem to be fitting in well with the new people I am working with in the Pharmacy.

It is alot of brain work.

I work 10 hour days now.

I get an hour for lunch.

I will give it my all.

I will still work every now and again scanning groceries up front.

Thislady came through today and said....what are you doing in Pharmacy? They need you up front to scan groceries I miss seeing you there.  Now I will have to be sick just to talk to you. LOL  I thought that was cute.

Eric is doing great at his new job at The Oasis.

He came home this weekend to try and help me get well.

He made me some super stew with all kinds of great veggies.

He waited on me hand and foot.

We didn't get to do much, but he kept telling me to just rest and he would take care of me.

I love that kid!

I am slowly getting better.

Here are some of the ingrediants he puts in his stew....taken from his grocery list when he went to the store to get s\tuff to make it...

green cabbage, zucchini squash, carrots, white mushrooms, onions, garlic, sweet potato, hamburger meat, tomatoes, beef broth.

He also made some jalapeno cornbread.

Gotta love a kid who will come home on his only days off in weeks and pamper his Mom.

I know I do!

911

In memory of all those who perished this morning; the passengers and the pilots on the United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders.

Our prayers go out to the friends and families of the deceased.

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

Send this to at least 10 people to show your support.

CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY...

A customer cussed me out because I asked him if he wanted to buy some candy that we have at our registers....we HAVE to ask them or they get it free. He was an old fart and he yelled every bad word I have ever heard in my face. I had a hard time not crying. but I didn't . He even took the Lords name in vain all because I said.....Sir we have our candy on sale today would you like to buy some? OMG you should have heard what he said to me....it was horrible.
I hate asking people to buy that stupid candy but we have to because if we don't and they get it for free we get in LOTS of trouble. One day I had to ask a man if he wanted to buy some toothpaste and He took out his teeth and screamed at me....do I look like I need toothpaste????

OK AND THEN.....

Earlier in the week my manager noticed that they had my hours scheduled wrong.

You see me and another cashier named Barbie are the only ones who do the candy.  When she isn't there I do it and visa versa.

They had not scheduled either of us to do the candy this weekend.

They had me scheduled to open the store from 5:45am - 2:15

This person comes in and drives out 8 electric carts, puts bags on all the registers, puts ourt the rugs and mats.  Changes the security stickers to another color and waits on the customers when they come in at 6am.

So since no one was scheduled in my place I was ALONE both days and was not told that no one would be coming in.

So I am doing my candy and notice no one is showing up to open....so I have to stop doing my candy and do the above chores.  In no time.

Well it happened again today.

I was so angry wondering who was suppose to come in and didn't.

And then I started laughing when I realized who it was....it was me.

Since they changed my schedule to do candy they forgot to schedule an opener......

I had to laugh.  Or I would have cried.

Tomorrow I do candy again and they PROMISED  someone would be there to open....

you still here?

ok well so since we have been so busy this weekend I have not been given the time to do the candy properly.  I have 6 huge totes of candy waiting for me to load unto my cart tomorrow and fill the 12 lanes.   God I hope someone shows up.....

Friday, August 24, 2007

oh yeahh and

I forgot to tell you that I have to do 12 of those candy stands each day I work candy.

they expect it to all be done in two hours.....with them calling me off of it to bag and get on a register.

I will be doing candy for three straight days....sat, sun and mon. this week.

So I must hit the hay.

3:30 comes early......

there are ten shelves per register times twelve so that is 120 shelves in two hours.
