Baby Shower Pictures

I am exhausted!!!!  But I think everyone had a great time.

Everyone adapted well and particiapated.

The first thing was I gave everyone some playdoh and told them they had all the shower to make a baby.  We got some cute creations.

Then We play baby pictionary and everyone was given a name.

I ended up with the name Playpen only I kept forgetting to answer to my name.

If you used some ones real name you had to donate to the bottle bank or sing a lullaby.  I was really bad at my own game.  I lost 3 dollars and had to sing 5 songs.LOL

I loved the toilet paper games and the pregnacy shoe race.  Hopefully I will get more pictures of these as I was busy running the games.

Shaun Emilys brother got the name nipples!  It was hilarious.

Her Mom got Baby Socks.

Emily got Rubber Ducky....

I wrote out the whole baby adlib for you and aol ate it...so maybe tomorrow I will rewrite it.

I wanted to show you the pictures though.

I am going to go and take a nap now!!!!

More Games We Are Going To Play!

I have added some more games we are going to play tomorrow at the baby shower

1.  Shoe Race where I will select guests who wore tennis shoes.  They will take off their socks and shoes.  I will place them at the other end of the room.  I will give each one a balloon baby to put under their shirt and on my go they have to run to the other side of the room and retrive their shoes which I will tie together.  Then they will have to get back to their chairs and put on their shoes without popping their balloon.  I will definately take pictures of that!

2.  Bubblegum babys...each guest will get a piece of gum and make it into a baby.  Emily will pick the best one.

I think this and the other games will be enough to fill up the time....

We are going early in the morning to decorate and thanks to all the prayers I got someone to cover my shift at work so I will not have to go in after the party!  Whew!  What a relief!!!!

So I will give you a full report either tomorrow night or Sunday!  Mark your calendars!!!! xox Barbara

Blessings Babys and Barbara

Blessings

1.  Remember when I asked you all to pray for Eric to be able to get a car so that he would have his own transportation to work after our Tauras bit the dust?  This was a very big concern of mine, but I put it in Gods mailbox and asked for prayers from you....

God answered.  He now has some help and we will be car shopping soon!  The money was given by some very caring and loving people whom shall remain unnamed until I get permission from them to tell.  Or maybe it will remain a mystery.

2.  Remember when I told you we were having trouble with the people renting Ricks moms house?  They totally destroyed the inside of the trailer and were stealing electricity.  They lied and all kinds of ruckus was happening over here.

They moved out and we already have new renters!

3.  Then since they were stealing the electricity, the electric company totally disconnected the line.

We had a family friend who fixed it for next to nothing .  Thanks Bob!

4.  Then the sewer system was all stopped up and pipes were broken...the sewer system lead to the yard of an older gentleman who doesn't even like for people to walk into his yard.  How were we going to tell him that we were going to have to dig a trench through his yard to fix it......we prayed.

He said...sure no problem do whatever needs to be done.

So prayer does work....please continue to pray for us.

Now on the the baby shower announcement....

I am in charge of doing the games for my nieces baby shower.

I have the games all ready to go.

1.  Baby adlib that I wrote and that they will supply the words to.

2.  I am going to freeze little plastic babies in icecubes and then we will have a contest to see whose baby is born first.

3.  The cotton ball game...see previous entry.

4. When they arrive I am going to give them each a nametag with a baby related item.  When everyone is settled I will tell them to read the name on their nametag and for the remainder of the party that will be their new name....I can't wait to see who gets named nipples. LOL

5.  If someone is caught calling someone by their wrong name they will either have to put a coin into a bottle bank, or sing a lullaby to the baby in Emilys tummy.

6.  At the end of the party I will ask them to guess the amount of money in the bottle bank and the winner will get all.  Then when we find out who the winner is I will hand them a box of ALL detergent...and Emily will get the money for the new baby.

7..We are also going to have a couple of races like diapering a member on their team, eating oatmeal and lots of laughter too.

Should be fun...only downside is that after the party I have to go to work for 6 hours....pray for me!

She is going to name him Aden Jacob after her brother who we lost...October 8th of this year will be exactly a year since Jacob was taken.

Barbara is doing fine...um that is me. LOL  I have to work only 4 hours today and I must get ready to go.

Just wanted to tell you all the good news and to thank you for the prayers and comments and great ideas!

Love and all that stuff!!!!! Barbara

Don't worry...the camera is coming with me to the shower and you will get to see all the fun....!!!!

These are very helpful hints.

Bed Sheets

After drying your sheets, put both sheets and one pillowcase in the other pillow case. Fold neatly in a square. Next time you change  sheets, you just take the one pillow case and all the sheets and pillow case are inside. No need to look for matches. Takes up less storage room too.

Clean your glass shower

To clean the glass in your shower easily, apply lemon juice to the glass with a sponge. Then, take newspaper and wipe the lemon juice off the glass. It will be clean and sparkle with no scrubbing!

Reheat Pizza

Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy.  No soggy micro pizza. According to the cooking channel, it really  works.

Easy Deviled Eggs

Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all broken up. Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep mashing it  up mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into  egg.Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.

Expanding Frosting

When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it  with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get  to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar/calories per serving.

Reheating refrigerated bread

To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated,  place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture  will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.

Newspaper Weeds-Away

Wet newspapers, put layers around the plants overlapping as you go, cover with mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some  gardening plastic, they will not get through wet newspapers.

Broken Glass

Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken pieces of  glass - the fibers catch ones you can't see!

        .

Easier thank you's

When you throw a bridal/baby shower, buy a pack of thank you cards for the guest of honor. During the party, pass out the envelopes and have everyone put their address on one. When the bride/new mother sends the thank you's, they're all addressed!

MINE!!!!!

If you purchase a new bike for your child, place their picture inside the handle bar before placing the grips on. If the bike is stolen and later recovered, remove the grip and there is your proof who owns the bike.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Flexible vacuum

To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum.  It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.

Reducing Static Cling

Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling  when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and -- voila --  static is gone.

Measuring Cups

Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill it with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don't dry the cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out.

Foggy Windshield?

Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with the eraser!  Works better than a cloth!

Reopening envelope

If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Voila! It unseals easily.

Conditioner

Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair...

Get Rid of Ants

Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it "home," & can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, esp. if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!

Take baby powder to the beach

Keep a small bottle of baby powder in your beach bag. When you're ready to leave the beach sprinkle yourself and kids with the powder and the sand will slide right off your skin
.

Calling All Creative MInds HELP

My niece Emily is having a baby shower next week and she has put me in charge of the games...I want something new and different...Here is what I have come up with so far....but I need more options!

The Cotton Ball Game <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

With this game you will need two large bowls, one of which should be filled with cotton balls plus a large kitchen spoon and a cloth to use as a blindfold.
Each guest in turn competes in this game. Blindfold the guest and give one minute to transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to the other just using the kitchen spoon.
Make a note of how many of the cotton balls each guest can transfer in exactly one minute. The guest who transfers the most cotton balls is the winner.
Due to the fact that the spoon is quite heavy and the cotton balls are quite light it is very difficult for the guests to tell whilst blindfolded whether they have anything in the spoon, consequently they will spend most of their time transferring an empty spoon. This is very amusing for the other guests to watch.

Clay Babies
You will need about one can of dough for every two people. pass out the dough and have the players make little babies. the mother-to-be then judges and the winner gets a prize

Diaper <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Derby

To play, you need a 4 roll pkg of toilet paper.  At shower divide guests into 4 teams.  Give each tema a roll of paper.

Using only that each group should dress one of their team members in a diaper.

They can’t use pins, staples or anything else to hold it together.  Emily picks the best diapered baby and the whole team wins a small prize….an oreo cookie.

Eat the Oreo.

Everyone is given a oreo cookie.  At go everyone must lick all the frosting off the cookies, show the judge and then eat it until completely gone.  Winner gets a pint of milk to wash it down.

Wheres the Nuk?

Have three people race.

Three bowls filled with oatmeal.

Tied their hands behind their back and have them race eating the oatmeal until they find the Nuk at the bottom.

First one to find it wins.

Catch….there is no Nuk.

The Bag Game

You'll need large paper bags (you can get them free at the grocery store!)

Give all your guests a bag and have them place the bag over their heads. Then ask the participants to take off something they really don't need. It may sound boring but it is so funny when you see women taking off rings, shoes and even clothing not thinking it's the bag on their head that they really don't need. And of course whomever takes off the bag first is the winner! And the participants who still have the bag on, you continue to ask them to take off something they really don't need, if the participants still don't get the hint just tell them without laughing too loud to take that silly bag off their head(s).

 Baby Socks Matching Game

In the center of the room, place a pile of (separated) 10-15 pairs of baby socks (solids, patterned, and different sizes). Each guest gets 10 seconds to match them. The guest with most pairs of matching socks wins a prize. (* the more patterned socks, the harder).

Also, you may want to ask each guest via their invitation to bring in a pair of baby socks to save on party costs). At the end, the mother-to-be takes home all the socks.

Chimp Race

Players: Smallto large groups

Set up teams and play area. The first person on each team is to bend over with feet apart and grab their ankles. On “go”, they are to race down the course and back without letting go of their ankles. Each person on the team repeats the relay. The first team done is the winner.

This would be with other things in some kind of relay race.....

Email ideas to MastersBLynn@aol.com  ....  I only have a few days to prepare!!!!

Thanks! BArbara.

In the begining....

Science and the Bible

God is sitting in Heaven when a scientist says to Him, "Lord, we don't need you anymore.  Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing. In other words, we can now do what you did in the 'beginning.'"

"Oh, is that so? Tell me..." replies God.

"Well, " says the scientist, "we can take dirt and form it into the likeness of You and breathe life into it, thus creating man."

"Well, that's interesting. Show Me."

So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to mold the soil.

"Oh no, no, no..." interrupts God,

( I love this)

"Get your own dirt."

I know 3 letters are missing but I am sleepy

Doing my abc's

Age by Chocolate...Try it

YOUR AGE BY

Chocolate

MATH

This is pretty wild!

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!

It takes less than a minute so work this out as you read . Be sure you don't
read the bottom until you've worked it out!

This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have
chocolate
(more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1756 …

If you haven't, add 1755.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

My Kind Of Survivor

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.  The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to pray to God.  However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.

The first thing the first man  prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit.  The other man's parcel of land remained barren.

After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.  The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land.  On the other side of the island, there was nothing.

Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food.  The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him.  However, the second man still had nothing.

Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that  his wife and he could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.  The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island.  He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.

As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from Heaven booming,

"Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"

"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered.

"His prayers were all unanswered, and so he does not deserve anything."

"You are mistaken!" the voice rebuked him.  "He had only one prayer, which I answered.  If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings."

"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?"

"He prayed that all your prayers be answered."

For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

When Jesus died on the cross he was thinking of you!

My motto for today

This will be my motto for today.

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for man.

I work from 8 to 12 today and yes I will be chipper and I will probably stick out like a sore thumb.

I will greet my customers and thank them for coming in to buy their groceries at my store because it is not the only place to buy food around here.

I will not let people around me pull me down into their grumpiness or sadness.

Rejoice in the Lord.  He has given me a new day to let my light shine through the darkness and I will not waste what has been so freely given unto me.

Thank you so much for all of your encouraging words and comments.

I thank God for each and every one of you.

I did not meet any of you by accident.

He has put you into my life to bless me.

And oh how blessed and honored I feel to be considered your friend.

So off I go to work today.  With God guiding me along my way.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Too Chipper????

I had to work from 8-12:30 today so I got up at 5 and had a leisurely morning of two cups of coffee and prayer.

Then I went and dressed in  the  nice clean uniform I laid out last night.  Did my hair and makeup and was out the door.

I walked into work with a few hellos and good mornings to customers and workers.

I mentioned to Miss Grumpy that I loved to work mornings because I felt rested and ready to go.

She looked at me with a look of disgust and told me I was way too chipper.

What?

Too Chipper now?

I have seen people who I thought were too chipper and they look and act fake.

I say hello how are you to my customers not to make myself look friendly or anything like that.  I ask them how they are because I truly care about ....um how they are!

And when I say Good Morning I mean just that...I hope you have a wonderful day and that you celebrate the new day that God has given us to celebrate life!

Then I started thinking about being chipper.

If this means that I am a chip off of my parents then I take that as a huge compliment.  I feel honored to be a chip off the block of my loving, caring and awesome people who raised me.

My parents taught me to care about people and to show compassion and respect for those around me.

After my break I was called into the MAIN managers office .  I was being evaluated.  He said I scored high in every single category, my highest being customer service......

And then................................................

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I GOT A RAISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So take that Mr. KB and Miss Grumpy!

And I laughed all the way to the bank!!!!!!

I Stick Out Like A sore Thumb

Barbara...I need to talk to you a minute.

This was said by one of my managers today.

Ok...which by the way is Mr. Kiss Butt.....from previous entry.

Anyway...

MKB:  I think that our cashiers are not showing the true spirit that I would like to project to the customers.

Me:  And what is that?

MKB:  Well take a look down the line and tell me how many you see that are smiling.

Me...looking down the line and noticing everyone working their hardest but concentrating and not one single one was talking to the customer or smiling... so being honest I said..None

MKB:  I think we are sending a negative attitude towards our customers.

Me:  Well...all I know is that I do talk to my customers and I smile at each and everyone of them, because that is the way I was raised.  Even if someone scowls at me I will smile and I usually get one back.

MKB:  That is exactly what I am talking about

Me: Ok, so you know that I do smile right?

MKB: Oh yes, I have been watching you and you are really good with the little kids too.  You always ask them about school, or how old they are or anything..and you make sure to include them

Me:  Well, that is just the way I am I guess...never meet a stranger.

MKB:  And I have seen people come through your line in a bad mood and by the time they leave are in a better one.

Me:  Well I tend to joke around with them a bit

MKB:  That is exactly what I am trying to say

Me:  What?

MKB:  You are the only one who does this

Me: Ok is there anything else?

MKB:  Yes...when you do this you stick out like a sore thumb.

Me:  Is that a problem?

MKB:  No, but how can I get the rest of them to do this?

Me:  I don't know, I just try to do it myself.

MKB:  Ok, well I think instead of you getting back on the register I would like you to clean the registers that aren't being used.

Me...thinking to myself...if I am the only one (according to him) that is being friendly...why is it that he is taking me off the registers and having me clean?

I am confused.

John F. McDowell

McDOWELL-John F., Jr. Age 33 of Manhattan was tragically lost on September 11, 2001 in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. John was a vice president in equities at Sandler O'Neill & Partners. He was the beloved son of John F., Sr. & Patricia. Brother of Megan and fiance of Bebe Morrissey. His love of life and laughter inspired us all. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

John F. McDowell will be honored by Barbara at the blog ConfessionsOf An Angel Waitress. This was the 1427th blogger to sign up for the 2,996 Tribute project.

One of the things remembered most about him was his great sense of humor. He always was quick with a joke. . His Memorial Service in September, and all of his family and friends shared wonderful, warm stories of him. He was engaged to be married, he had a successful career, and had so much going for him. I pray for his family and loved ones, for I can't imagine their pain.

John McDowell was highly respected. He was a bright and talented individual. My blessings to John and his family.

He was outgoing, funny, and he never had a negative bone in his body. He always put a smile on everyone's face. To his family and friends....I'm deeply sorry for your loss. God Bless

John is somewhere over the rainbow having lived life to the fullest.  John shared his caring and kind spirit with all he knew and loved.  His loss is beyond words.

I deeply regret the loss to his precious family.  He seemed to be the light among many.  He was the kind of person who made your day better just to be around him.

God bless his family and friends

I am deeply sorry for your loss

Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups took action against the American public on September 11, 2001.  Michael Bane, was one of the thousands that were killed on that day as a result of their hate toward America and our people. Michael was employed by Marsh & McLennan as an Assistant Vice President of the casualty claims division. His office was on the 100th floor of the North Tower (tower one) of the World Trade Center. He was extremely proud to be working in the WTC. He was one of few people worldwide who worked so high up in the sky.

On
Tuesday, September 11, 2001, he got up for work at about 5:30 am, fed his dogs, and kissed his wife Tara goodbye. As he left their bedroom, he smiled at her and said, "I love you". He left his house at approximately 6:40 am - never to return.

Tara first learned of what happened at approx. 9:00 am. The radio stated that a small commuter plane struck the WTC. She thought was that he would be OK even if it hit his floor because he did not sit by the window. As she continued to drive to work she heard on another radio station that a second plane hit the towers and they were large commercial jets.

This station also indicated that it was a suspected terrorist attack. The intense fear overtook her. She was shaking uncontrollable and crying. Tara ran up to her office and ran for a phone. By this time she could not see the numbers on the telephone to dial because she was crying so much. Tara called to a coworker and informed her that her husband was in the buildings, her brother-in-law may be in the buildings and her father worked downtown. She was unable to contact any family members due to the phone lines being down. Tara returned home to her house in time to see the towers collapse. As a she watched the attacks with panic rising inside of her, she was still unable to determine if  other family members were ok. It took several hours to hear from the rest of her family members and to find out they were all safe. But they still did not hear from Michael.

The next few days were filled with making grueling phone calls to hospitals, and emergency hotlines, describing what her husband looked like, indicating any identifiable features including birthmarks, and what he was wearing on 9/11. She had family and friends visiting hospitals and other places in
New York City placing Michael's photo around in hopes of someone recognizing him and receiving some information as to his whereabouts. She had to collect DNA samples of her husband and track down dental records as well as past x-rays in hopes of identifying him either alive or dead. That first tortuous week and a half was spent with her family by her side, hoping, praying that Michael would be ok and waiting for that phone call stating so. During that time she was filled with the fears and panic of what Michael went through: If he jumped out a window in efforts to get away from the flames, if he was burned alive, if he was trapped and couldn't breath from all the smoke and flames, if he survived the plane crash and then had to suffer for the remainder of his life, if he was buried alive once the towers collapsed. These thoughts still plague her today. And to this day, she is filled with anxiety with regards to receiving that phone call notifying me of what body part of her husband was discovered, as well as the very real possibility of never having any piece of her husband be recovered.

Michael Bane was a fun loving, easy going, good guy. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews playing sports and games. He enjoyed his home and having family and friends over to visit, playing volleyball and BBQ-ing. He took care of his dogs and loved having them around. He recently began playing the guitar again which he did as a young adult.
Tara often would come home from work and find him playing the guitar and she would just listen and be soothed by it. Now, the music has stopped and Tara says she looks at the guitar and wishes she could see and hear him play it again - but that will never happen!

When her husband died there was a part of her that died also. It was the life that she had planned to share with Michael. It was raising children together, helping them to grow up as good moral, fair people as her and her husband are. It was growing old together enjoying a home and their lives together. And now her life is completely different, unfamiliar, and lonely. Her canvas has been wiped clear and she will have to rediscover that canvas, incorporating the right colors and forms.

“I will not give up on my life, and I will not give up on all Americans.  This giving me an opportunity to honor Michael and all those for whom life was cut short in the name of terrorism.” states Tara

” Those who orchestrated the 9/11 attacks need to be held accountable for their actions. And they are the terrorist groups, Al Qaeda and the others who finance and support them.
Al Qaeda and all the other terrorist groups, as well as those who harbor them and finance their actions have causeda tremendous amount of pain, suffering and agony to many of us. This destruction of life and land needs tostop.  We need to prevent them from inflicting the painand suffering that I have endured, onto any other American.” She continues

Our country, its people and all of our monuments, which represent the American dream, need not experience the tragedies of 9/11 ever again.
This was written by the wife of Michael Andrew Bane who lost his life at the tender age of 33.  He did not have to die.
Tara did not have to lose her husband and best friend.

God Bless Tara and her family.  Michael you are missed greatly.

Baggers

It is a baggers job to put a certain number of items in each bag.  Certain things go together and some things can not be put together as in chicken with anything else and wet and dry.

Don't smash the produce and fruit!

Be nice to the customers.

Ask if they need any help outside.

Ok now let me tell you about our baggers...

Mr. Annoying...this kid sings offkey or bangs on the end of the belt in between customers.  Says stupid things trying to pick up the other bagger girls and says off the wall comments to the customers...you never know what he will say.

Mr. Flirt....is slow bagging because he is more concerned with flirting with the girl baggers next to him.  He is never done bagging the order and you have to help him to get the job done.

Miss Flirt....talks to everyone around her and walks away to talk to friends before she even finishes with a customer.

Smasher...this kid trys to go too fast and just throws everything all together

After these two entrys I just can't wait to go to work tomorrow....

I have had a hard day.  I won't go into detail lets just say the topics of today.

1. Liars

2. Crying

3. Fights

4. Police

5. Drunks

Names Have Been Changed To Protect The Guilty

I have decided to tell you a little about my job.

As you all know I am a cashier at a grocery store.

I am one of the oldest cashiers who works

there...no I am not old.

Most of the people who work there are teenagers to 20 year olds.

I will describe some of them to you

.First we have the managers...

Mr. Nice Guy is just 18 years old.

How he is a manager at this tender age has something to do with the fact of people he "knows".

Any way I really like this kid. He makes working there fun.  He isn't serious all the time and looking for mistakes or talking down to anyone.

When I first worked there though I did see him get on to one of the little bagger girls in front of everyone.  I took him to the side and told him that that was not a professional way to handle the situation.  Since then he has changed his policy of dealing with his employees.

Good for you Mr. Nice Guy!

Mrs. Bossy...now she is older than me and drives me CRAZY.

She just got promoted to some level and it has really gone to her head.

She is so picky about EVERYTHING.  One day she made one of the baggers (who is very shy) go home early because he did not greet on of the customers.  Hello can anyone say Warning???

Anyway she critizes everyone from how many items they put per bag to putting stickers on everything that is too big to be put into a bag.

If you are back from your break one minute late (because maybe you had to pee...) you get a 5 minute lecture....hello who is wasting time here?

Then we have Mr. Kiss Butt.  He has to shake your hand and say hello to you everytime

you clock in.  He asks the customers if they need help with their grocerys for the third time after he hears the cashier ask "no"

Bagger asks "oh no thanks"

and then he asks again "NO!"  Some people actually get offended if you ask them if they want help out...but it is required.  Especially the big macho guys, the old guys and the independant older ladies.

Miss Stay In The Office On the Phone

really drives me batty.  If we need an override or help on the register it takes forever for her to get there.  And then she walks as slow as a turtle like

there is no end to a day.  And then she acts like she was so bothered to be interupted and had to get off her ....... to come do her job.

Okey and Dokey are two other managers

 that I like.

They are always there when you need them and appear like magic as soon as you call them. I like working with those two.

Well I guess this will have to have part two or three. Barbara

How does Lisa make all those long entrys without running out of room?
