The Friday 5'er

The Friday 5'er
          From Robin at;  http://journals.aol.com/robinngabster/Thesearethedaysofourlives/entries/1636

      Hi guys!!!

I missed last Friday so here is my make up 5'er!

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my comment section.  On the following Friday I will have a new set of questions! Have fun!

LET'S PLAY!!!

1.  It's summertime and pretty much hot all over.  What is the hottest day you can recall? Every day in the summer is hot here...unless it decides to rain and then it is cool until the storm passes and then so humid.  I love Texas but it does get hot here.  Most days get past the 100 mark. I prefer to do my running around in the morning and spend the day inside.

2.  How do you keep cool in the summer? Pool? Beach? Other?

Sometimes I air up my air mattress that holds water and sit outside on the deck in the shade and read a good book.  Other times I just stay inside and chill on the recliner.  I wish I had a pool I would be in it everyday....Rick says I need to get out more and tan....um nope.

3.  Do you prefer to be sweating on a hot summer day or shoveling snow on a cold winter's day?

I hate to sweat so I guess I would prefer the cold...only I am not sure about the shoveling part...isn't that a mans job?  I would love to see snow as I have not seen since Eric was 2 years old.

4.  What did summer mean to you as a kid?

Summer meant Vacation Bible School when I was young, then 1 week of Church camp as a teenager.  Some of my best memories are from camp.  I still dream about all the fun we had and then wake up and think...oh yeah I am a grown up now.

5.  If you could be anywhere else right now where would you be?

I would be in California visiting with Robin and LInda....I would be in Austin visiting Eric.

Now I am going to go and make some sun tea and start working on my tan...Anyone want to join me?

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in Robins comment section.  On the following Friday I will have a new set of questions! Have fun!

LET'S PLAY!!!

1. Where do you plan on spending the fourth of July?

Probably at work scanning everyone elses beer and chips.  It is too dry here for fireworks....I think we get to dress up for work so I will be all decked out in red, white and blue.

2. Tell us about a memorable 4th for you.

When Eric was little we would always shoot off fireworks here at home.  He loved it!  He could make those firecrackers last for days.  He would blow up all kinds of things.  No matter where I was a firework would always find me....When I was a little girl Mom and Dad would buy us sparklers.  Christi and I would spend hours outside in the dark writing our names in the sky.  After that my Mom and Dad would load us up and go to eat pancakes....

3.  What screams independence day to you?

The flag, Lee Greenwood singing "Proud to be an American, military uniforms, hot dogs, apple pie, home made ice cream, kids with sticky messy faces, blanket in the grass, hot weather, fireworks, FREEDOM and family. Great answer Robin...how could I improve on that?

4. If you could tell a military person anything what would you say?

You are the heart of America.  You give up your precious hours with your families to protect us.  God will have special crowns for all of you who sacrifice for our country.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Be safe!

5. Have you put out anything red, white and blue or do you plan too?

I want to put out Ricks Dads flag this year..

Thanks for playing and God Bless America!

The Movie

I tried to send the movie out to all of you...but if I missed you and you would like to see if please email me and I will send it to you.  MastersBLynn@aol.com

Be sure to turn the volume on if you want to hear me sing.

For those of you who have my cd this is just an extra copy....

Let me know what you think! Barbara

The Report....

Hello everyone and thank all of you for the wonderful emails today.  Thank you Linda for the snail mail card!  Thanks Mom and Dad for the card and money and phone calls.  Thanks Eric for your special phone call.  Thanks Sharon for freaking Rick out at work with the great text message and voice mail.

I tried to upload a movie I made of the years past.,,,, but never got it to work.

Now on to the story;

Rick and I met on a blind date.  Only I wasn't his date. I had a boyfriend of 2 years!  The date was for his sister Beverly and my boyfriends brother.

We decided to go bowling and Beverly asked if she could bring her brothers along.....that is how I met Rick.

It was love at first sight.  I knew he was the one. God told me.

We started dating and I happened to mention that I knew some people from his home town.

The people I knew were from the church there where me and my church youth group went to perform some music.  We were each assigned a home to stay in and I was placed in the Hollis home.

They were a cute older couple who were very much in love.

As I was sitting on their porch one day a cute guy kept driving by on his motorcycle checking me out.  I finally waved at him and he disappeared.

When I asked Rick if he knew them he said....well I guess so.

They are my grandparents!

I found out years later when we were talking about it one day that he was that guy on the motorcycle!  We didn't even meet until about 3 or 4 years later.  He didn't know who that girl was either.....

Anyway we met in October of 1980 and were engaged by December.  We got married 6 months later June 27, 1981.

Today we have been married for 25 years.

I love him with all my heart. He is the coolest, smartest, guy in the whole world and God made him especially for me!

The first picture is of him and his parents.  I loved them so much and they were a big part of our married life.  We lived right down the road from them.  His Dad Bob was quite a character.  Him and I had many debates. His Mom Melva was a good Christian and in her loving way she told everyone about Jesus.  You never were in her presence without hearing. You Can do all things through Christ .

They have both passed on to Heaven and we miss them everyday.

At our wedding we had two preachers.  My Dad and Reverend Hulsey...so I guess you could say we were double married!

My bridesmaids were of course my sisters Pam and Christi,   My best friend from elementary school Susan, My new sister in law Jenny, My best friend in jr high and highschool Patti.

Beverly, Ricks sister was my maid of honor....years later I was her maid of honor too.

On January 5th 1984 we both had a child on the same day!  My Eric and her Emily.  We call them the twin cousins.

Kellie our flowergirl is the daughter of Jenny and Larry Ricks brother.

The grooms men were Bruce Ricks friend. commited  Ralph my sister Pams husband, Gilbert our friend you see pictures of every now and then , Larry Ricks brother, Ronald and Billy also Ricks friends.

And then there is Shaun our ringbearer who decided at the last minute he didn't want to do this....we had to bribe him.

Okay now to the presents...I mean present

I decided to play a trick on Rick because he HATES fake nails.

I went and got some childrens press on nails and had them on when Rick came home today....He wanted to know how much I spent getting that done....I told him that the girl gave me a discount of 50 dollars because of it being our anniversary...when the vein started sticking out on his forehead....I let him in on the gag...they weren't real.  I also had fake but real looking pink hair. LOL

I got Rick the following gifts

Silver picture frame with our wedding picture

Another frame with picture

A silver cd player...to continue to add music to our lives

A silver clock...to tell him I would be there until the end of time

A bag of silver kisses...use your imagination..no never mind they were to keep the sweetness in our hearts

A four roll of toilet paper....

What?

Yes and as he was opening it I was singing

When the roll is called up yonder

When the roll is called up yonder

When the roll is called up yonder...

When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.

We went out to eat at the Outback....YUM!!!

I have half a steak left for lunch!!!

I can't tell you the rest....but it is good.

Well it has been a long day...time for bed.

Love you guys!

End The Day With A Smile

Spreading the Word

TEACHING junior high school English, Miss Speller emphasized the importance of nice clean margins on student papers. One seventh-grade boy said in his essay that he was sorry to write in the margarine.

When she graded his paper, Miss Speller added a little note next to his that said, “Maybe next time you will do butter.”

That’s One Fast Bull

AN IOWA FARMER was tired of hearing a Texas rancher brag how everything was the best on his spread. So the farmer invited the Texan out to his Iowa farm if he was ever in the vicinity. “What do you have on your farm that would interest me?” the rancher asked.

“I have a bull that can outrun the train that goes past my place,” the farmer replied.

A few weeks later, the farmer saw the Texan driving up his lane. Realizing that his bluff had been called, he told his teenage son to get rid of the rancher any way he could.

When the Texan asked the boy where his dad was, the son said, “He left this morning for New York. He should be there this afternoon.”

“Did he go by train?” the rancher asked.

“No,” the boy answered. “He went by bull.”

Do the Buck and Wing

A COUPLE went into a pet store to buy a canary. They told the salesman the bird had to be a good singer. They heard a canary singing loudly and remarked, “Its beautiful, and it sings great.”

But when the salesman took the bird from the cage, the couple said, “Hey, it’s got only one leg!

Salesman replied:  What do you want? A singer or a dancer?

Knock, knock! Who’s there?
Woo. Woo, who?
Don’t get so excited, it’s just a joke. .

Ask Awry

IF A BALLOON had a baby, would the sky rocket?

If a nut had a car, would the screwdriver?

If a ship sank, would a safety razor?

To Have and Too Old

The bride, white of hair,
Is stooped over her cane,
Her faltering footsteps
Need guiding.
While down the church aisle,
With wan toothless smile,
The groom in a wheelchair
Comes riding.
And who is this elderly couple,
You ask?
You’ll find, when you’ve
Closely explored it,
That here is the rare,
Most conservative pair,
Who waited ’til they
Could afford it!

Got Directions?

A RED SPORTS CAR screeched to a stop beside a farmer heading out to his field, and the driver asked, “Do you know how I can get to Highway 91?”

The farmer thought about it for a bit and replied, “Nope.”

“Do you know where the nearest turnpike entrance is?” asked the driver.

“Nope.”

“Well, how about the town of Hadley? Do you know which direction that is from here?”

“Nope.”

Exasperated, the driver threw up his arms and said, “You don’t know very much then, do you?”

“Nope,” the farmer answered. “But I do know that I’m not lost.”

See the Light of Day

DID YOU HEAR about the man who sat down at dusk and waited to see where the sun went?

It finally dawned on him.

Get Even More Laughs!

Just Following Orders

“LOOK at this mess!” roared an angry customer at a local cafe, pointing to his squashed doughnut.

“It’s just as you ordered it, sir,” the waitress replied meekly. “You told me to bring you coffee and a doughnut and step on it.”

Wisdom of the Ages

• I STARTED OUT with nothing…and still have most of it.

• My wild oats have turned to shredded wheat.

• I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart.

• Funny, I don’t remember being absentminded.

• Some days you’re the dog, some days you’re the hydrant.

• I wish the buck stopped here. I could use a few.

• The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you’re in the bathroom.

• When I’m finally holding all the right cards, everyone decides to play chess.

• It’s hard to meet expenses. They’re everywhere.

Anyone want to know about my day?  Pictures and report coming right up.

My Mom is A Poet...Awesome!

Happy Anniversary to Barbara and Rick

Oh my goodness sakes alive
Can today really be number twenty five?
Yes, I recall back then you had a flower girl named Kelley
Of course that was when she was still eating peanut butter and jelly
Since then, God has sent the sunshine and the rain
You had the good times and sometimes days of pain
But through it all God has been there for you
You have been lifted up in prayers and God has seen you through
One of the biggest blessing came on January Fifth
That really precious first  Grandson really gave me a lift
I am so proud of all he has become
He was our first Grandson and God gave us a SPECIAL one
The years will come and the years will go
Some of my days are fast and some are becoming slow
However through it all I"m proud for you and Rick
You have worked hard at your marriage and God will make it stick..

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

 LOVE YOU ---MOM

P.S.   i MAY NOT BE A POET
          But at least I had a Go-at-it!!!!!!!

Thanks Mom!!!!  I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

DUCK!!!

Duck Joke
A duck walks into a general store and asks the manager, "Got any fresh fruit?"

       "No."

       "Got any fresh vegetables?"

"No. We only have canned and dry goods."

The next day, the duck returns.

       "Got any fresh fruit?"

       "No."

       "Got any fresh vegetables?"

"No. I told you yesterday, we have only canned and dry goods. If you come back tomorrow and ask me the same question, I'll nail your flippers to the floor."

On the 3rd day, the duck walks in and asks, "Got any nails?"

       "No."

       "Got any fresh fruit?"

Don't Drink And Drive!

THE SOBRIETY TEST
A police officer pulls over this guy who had been weaving in and out of the lanes. He goes up to the guy's window and says "Sir, I need you to blow into this breathalyzer tube."

The man says, "Sorry officer I can't do that. I am an asthmatic. If I do that I'll have a really bad asthma attack."

"Okay, fine. I need you to come down to the station to give a blood sample."

I can't do that either. I am a hemophiliac. If I do that, I'll bleed to death."

"Well, then we need a urine sample."

"I'm sorry officer I can't do that either. I am also a diabetic. If I do that I'll get really low blood sugar."

"Alright then I need you to come out here and walk this white line."

        "I can't do that, officer."

        "Why not?"

        "Because I'm drunk."

What's For Supper? Not Baked Beans I Hope

Baked Beans
Once upon a time, there lived a man who had a terrible passion for baked beans. He loved them, but they always had an embarrassing and somewhat lively reaction on him.

One day he met a girl and fell in love. When it was apparent that they would marry, he thought to himself, "She'll never go through with the marriage with me carrying on like this," so he made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Shortly after that they were married.

A few months later, on the way home from work, his car broke down. He called his wife and told her that he would be late because he had to walk. On his way home, he passed a small cafe and the wonderful aroma of baked beans overwhelmed him. Since he still had several miles to walk, he figured he could walk off any ill effects before he got home. So he went in and ordered. And before leaving had three extra large helpings of baked beans. All the way home he putt-putted. He putt-putted down one hill and putt-putted up the next. By the time he arrived home he felt reasonably safe.

His wife met him at the door and seemed somewhat excited. She exclaimed, "Darling, I have the most wonderful surprise for you for dinner tonight!" She put a blindfold on him, and led him to his chair at the head of the table and made him promise not to peek.

At this point he was beginning to feel another fart coming on. Just as his wife was about to remove the blindfold, the telephone rang.

She again made him promise not to peek until she returned, and she went to answer the phone. While she was gone, he seized the opportunity. He shifted his weight to one leg and let go. It was not only loud, but ripe as a rotten egg. He had a hard time breathing, so he felt for his napkin and fanned the air about him.

He had just started to feel better, when another urge came on. He raised his leg and riiipppp! It sounded like a diesel engine revving, and smelled worse. To keep from gagging, he tried fanning his arms a while, hoping the smell would dissipate.

Things had just about returned to normal when he felt another urge coming. He shifted his weight to his other leg and let go. This was a real blue ribbon winner; the windows shook, the dishes on the table rattled, and a minute later the flowers on the table were dead.

While keeping an ear tuned in on the conversation in the hallway, and keeping his promise of staying blindfolded, he carried on like this for the next ten minutes, farting and then fanning each time with his napkin.

When he heard the phone farewells (indicating the end of his loneliness and freedom) he neatly laid his napkin on his lap and folded his hands on top of it. Smiling contentedly, he was the picture of innocence when his wife walked in. She apologized for taking so long, and asked if he had peeked at the dinner table.

After assuring her he had not peeked, she removed the blindfold and yelled, Surprise!

To his shock and horror...there were twelve dinner guests seated around the table for his surprise birthday party.

Yes that is right folks....the microwave has finally bite the dust...I could care less.  This bothers Rick more than me because if he wants a hot meal now he has to leave his friends outside and come in and eat at a decent hour instead of yelling at me that he will warm it up when he gets ready...Usually around 10 at night....You would think eating that late would mean he is overweight....not true.  That is one of the reasons I don't care what time it is when I eat....have that brownie at midnight!!!!

The other stuff here is just part of the junk that Rick has in the yard.

I am married to a red neck....and it ain't from the sun.

Ok I am mad at him because he just got back from the store and didn't even ask me if I needed anything!  I am invisable sometimes.

Barbara

Wanta Talk About Me

Hey Robin!  Here's what I think about that!

1-What do you want people to say about you when you die?:  "She really cared about people.  She was great with children and they adored her.  She was always so funny and loved to make people laugh, she would not want us to be sad she is gone, let's live the rest of our lives like it was our last"

2-How long does it take you to get ready to go out?:  It usually takes me about 45 minutes.  If I have to wash my hair it takes about an hour and a half.  If I am late for work I can get there in 15 minutes.  I have learned speed makeup.

3-If you were an animal what would you be?:  I would be Tiny...she has it made.  Get up whenever you want, go outside and pee, come back in and find a comfortable spot and sleep away the day.

4-What's your biggest fear?:  Losing someone I love

5-What’s your most prized possesion?:  My family

6-What’s the funniest word you can think of:?  boogideboogideboo

7-Do you get along with your parents?:  Yes we are like best friends now, they are always there for me and interested in what is going on in my life.  They are the two most awesome people you will ever meet.  I love them sooo much.
8-What do you look for in the opposite sex?:
Honesty, Loyalty, Sense of Humor, how they treat others around them.
9-What was the most difficult thing you had to do?:
Say goodbye to my little sister.  Leave Eric in Austin

10-If you were given one day to live what would you do?:  Straighten up and throw away alot of junk that I have held onto so that noone else would have to go through it and get rid of it.  Hug Eric every second I had left.

11-If you could relive any day of your life either for good or to change it what would it be?:  One of my summers with my cousins, Eric's second birthday party.  Our 20th wedding honeymoon.

12-What's the worst feeling in the world?: a cactus

The best?: a rose.

13-If you could meet anyone who ever existed who would it be? why?:
My mothers brother Robert.
14-What was the meanest thing you ever did as a little kid?:
Made fun of Raul's name...I would say Ra EWWWWl.  I made him cry..also when my cousin and I were playing and I pulled her hair and it came out in my hand because she was losing it due to cancer....I didn't know that would happen and I didn't even pull it hard.  It was just not strong enough.  I still cry about that.  I really didn't mean to do that.

15-What have you learned about love?:  It is wonderful, sometimes it hurts.

16-How have you changed in the past year?: Thanks to all of you I have become a computer freak.  The first thing I do in the morning is get on here and check on all of you.  You are like family to me.  I have changed jobs....now if I could get some hours...I was sceduled for 8 this week.  Who can live and pay bills on 8 hours?  They did this to all the cashiers and everyone is quiting.  I mean come on!!!

There you have it folks.......Barbara

Meeting Amy's grand daughters

My friend Amy came over today and brought a nice surprise.  She brought over her grand babies.  We had a lot of fun singing and playing computer games.

These girls thought I was a kid and Rick was my Daddy.

I can't help it I don't want to grow up!

It was a nice visit.

They didn't want to go home.

They said they were coming back soon.

A is 5 and E is 4.  Very smart little girls.

We sang songs together and I recorded E singing her alphabet which she almost sings the right way and A singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  I will play it for them when they are grown.  I

If you have children you should record them talking and singing.

I have Eric on tape when he was 2 singing all the words to Tomorrow and Somewhere Over the Rainbow and I wouldn't trade it for a million dollars.

I also have him saying his alphabet and numbers.

I also have him telling me the story of Jack and The Beanstalk the way I changed it for him....priceless.

Barbara

Happy Birthday MOM!!!!

How can I tell you all that I feel
And make you understand you are a big deal
Perhaps I should make you laugh with a joke
Probably already heard it from folk.
You are the reason I am here today.

Because of you, things are okay.
I hope that you know how much I adore you
Remember this always, I do implore you.
Time has gone quickly, time has gone slow
Hours have past and years have been on the go.
Days and weeks have all flown by so fast
And you have not aged one year in the past.
You are still young at heart.

Most Moms have retired, but your ready to start.
Only you and I know the closeness we feel
Mom you are one in a million and the real deal.

I hope you have a Happy Happy Birthday!!!
I love you, Barbara

You Gotta Be Fast To Beat These Girls!

Amanda got it right technically, but Robin was really close...So I am calling it a tie!!!  What a mess right?  It is the cords under my computer desk....can anyone say fire hazard? It didn't look so bad when I connected everything and almost burned down the house using a lighter for light and caught papers on fire under there....oops.

Tiny has made it worse by trying to get to a squirrel who lives on the other side of this wall under the bath tub.  She is not allowed back there...but I know she goes there when I am gone.

Next time Eric comes over I will have to get him to straighten it out...I am afraid if I do I will disconnect something wrong.

Until next time..... Barbara

What's This?

Back by popular demand....

Tapicoca Tiny

One of my late night snacks is tapioca pudding.  When Tiny sees me eating one she can stare at me the entire time.

Each bite from the spoon to my lips is watched carefully in case some of it should fall.

She waits patiently knowing that she will get the lick the bottom of the cup.

Nothing can distract her attention from this activity.

She reaches to the very bottom because it is good to the last lick.

After it is all gone she will still circle back and make sure she didn't miss any.

I had to get pictures of this to show you.

Hope it gave you a morning giggle to start your week.

:) Barbara

Happy Fathers Day to the Best Daddy in The World

Happy Fathers Day Daddy

Having you for a father has made my life complete

All the times I learn from you just sitting at your feet.

People know you, by your name The Hugging Man

People know about you by the actions of the Man.

You are one of a kind and the best that God made.

First time  I looked upon you was from the nursery where I laid.

All the years you have been there, behind me all the way.

Times were tough but you pulled through

How many things I have learned from you.

Each and every day I thank the Lord above

Rejoicing in the fact that he sent me to your abode.

So on this very special day, I wanted to tell you

Daddy I love you with all my heart

And I honestly adore you

Don't you ever wonder about my feelings for you

Days and days of love and wisdom have come from you

You are my hero and I love you!

My Dad is the most awesome person you will ever meet.  He has always been there for me and been in my corner.  We have so many fun memories together that I will never forget.  Like waking up early and going to eat biscuits and gravy and then being his caddy for golf.

Singing with him at my little sisters wedding.

If I ever have a problem he is there to talk.  If I have something great to share, he is there to say you did good.  If I have an interest he says you need to keep going.  If I have a dream he says I know you can do it.

Everyone needs someone special like my Daddy in their lifes.

Thank you God for giving my Daddy to me.

I love you Daddy, Barbara

The 5er!!!! Robin is back!!!

      Hi guys!!!

It's Friday and it is time for what Robin calls "THE 5'er!"

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my Robins comment section.  On the following Friday she will have a new set of questions! Have fun!

This week's theme...Home Sweet Home.

LET'S PLAY!!!

1. What kind of home do you have?  Apartment? Condo? House?

I have an older 2 bedroom, one bath house that we are currently remodeling.  I love my little house by the woods.  It has a huge kitchen that Rick built on and a new room currently being built.  When we got this house it was a sight to behold.  Erics room was dark purple.  The kitchen was like a checker board with red and black squares. Our bedroom was this color...and still is:( And there are at least three layers of linoleum in the living room.

 2.  Did you have a tree house as a kid?

No...but I always wanted one...still do!

3.  Would your dream house be in the city, country, by a lake, by the ocean, in the mountains or on wheels seeing the world?

My dream house is right where it is.  By the woods.  It would be nice to have a pond or river closer so that we could go fishing and swimming....hm maybe one day.

4. If you could have an extra room in your home that you had total control over design and all what kind of room would you create?

I would make a sound recording studio with all my karaoke songs and a play where people could go and sing.

5. And finally....how many houses/apartments have you lived in up to this point. Counting as a child if you can remember that far back.

One in Fort Worth Texas....maybe two...then my parents moved into a trailer until they could find a house when my Dad was transfered to San Antonio.  A couple of houses after that and then in kindergarden my parents moved into a house that I stayed in the rest of my childhood.  They still live in that house. When I was eighteen I moved into my own apartment.  When I met Rick he made me move out because it was in a bad neighborhood, and I moved in with his sister.  After we married we had our own trailer.  And then we bought this house.

Thanks for playing, have fun and be thankful for the roof over your head however, humble or grand it may be.

Now go and let Robin know we are happy she is back with her game!!!! http://journals.aol.com/robinngabster/Thesearethedaysofourlives/entries/1611

My Little Angel Brittany

My little niece Brittany who lost her Mom at the tender age of 6 years old wrote me today.  I am always writing her poems spelling out a secret message going down.  She wrote a poem about her Mom and sent it to me.  It is precious and such a tribute to my little sister Christi that I just had to share it with you.

My Mom Christi

Making me do my homework
Yellow is her favorite color

Monday is the day she goes to H.E.B.
On Tuesday she takes us to Sonic for treats
Might be watching Opera secretly

Cooking cookies for us all the time
Having fun with me and my brother
Reading all the books she can lay her hands on
Is always at the mall
Saving her money for new shoes
Taking me and Chris to fun places
Is always in my heart

Christi is always in my heart too.  She was such a big part of my life,  Here is my poem about her that I was inspired to write:

MY LITTLE SISTER CHRISTI

My little sister Christi was so special to me
Young and carefree in everything that you do

Listened to me late at night when we were small girls
I loved her dearly and she was my world
The  many late talks together
Telling each other about our secrets and dreams
Lullabys I sang to her every night before sleep
Every day filled with Barbies and games

She was a playmate that I could trust
I loved her dearly and that was enough
So many fun trips to the mall
Treasures full of memories that I will always keep
Excited to see her with children of her own
Rarely a frown where a smile did not grow

Caring and kind to all those around her
Heaven is now the place that she lives
Reaching for rainbows and stars in her eyes
I miss her so much, that I sometimes still cry
She wouldn't want us to be sad
Time is so precious don't throw it away
I know that she would want us to be happy the rest of our days

Be thankful for the time that you have.  Never go to bed angry or sad.  Reach out to those that you love.  God blessed me with Christi who now lives above.
