HELLO

Hello to all of you my wonderful friends.  I am still here.  I have read all of your kind comments and could feel all the prayers around me like a warm blanket.

I have been through alot lately as most of you know...still trying to catch my breath.

I have been going to spend the weekends with my Mom.  She is doing a little better..still in alot of pain with her healing from the broken hip.

She will start chemo again soon.

There are a few things I can't even write about here in my journal.  But the prayers are seeing me through.

One reason is because I would not want to hurt any of my family by saying all that is going on.

I have been busy at work as well.  I am still learning daily more about insurance.  I have my license now, but still alot to learn.

Eric is doing great.  He is working at The Oasis and hopefully will get more hours soon.

He has moved into a house with a friend and his friends fiance.

Threes company but in reverse. Two guys and a girl and about 10 animals.

They have two birds that talk. A cat that attacks your ankles.  Hundreds of fish, and a couple of dogs.

I miss Eric.  I have not had a chance to go and visit him at his new house yet due to taking care of business.

But he understands.

I do so want to go and see though.

Rick is doing good also.  He is studying to take a test for work.  Now he understands what I was going through....only I know his test is easier than the one I had to take.

I have been trying to sing everyday.  This helps me alot.

I have checked out a few books from the library and hopefully will have some time to read.

I thinkI am going to start painting again.

Anyway. just wanted to let you all know that I am hanging in there and will be back to my goofy self soon.

Hopefully by the next entry.

Love you all Barb

Barb;

been thinking a lot about you and praying for you; you take all the time you need to grieve, I said that before. It is hard to lose a parent; it took me several months before I could make simple decisions like what to cook for dinner; don't worry about being your goofy self; if you need to, set up a private journal just for yourself and those you want to share in if you need to write down thoughts you can't share with family during this time. It is good to write things out.

Each day does get better with taking the raw edge off the grief, but sometimes it does sneak back up on you where you least expect it, knowing your dad is with Jesus is always a big comfort too

hugs to you

So glad to see a post from you and many prayers I am sending your way.  That is awesome Eric has a place now with lots of companions, animals and friends.  The books will help take your mind off things.  That is pretty much how we got through a difficult last year.  I just kept reading through the whole year.  Reading and reading.  I think I finished reading every classic I had wanted to read but had never been able to.

Barbara,
Anything you can do to keep busy is good, reading and painting.  Relaxation and mediation is great, also.   Take care of yourself.  I know, it makes you feel satisfied to know Eric is settled down, too.  I will keep your Mom in my prayers.  Good luck to Rick.  God bless you.

Good to hear from you, Barb. Hope your mom pulls through, both in healing her broken hip and the chemo. Keeping you all in thoughts at this time.

(((((((((Barb))))))))))) so happy to hear from you. I have you and your mom in my prayers everyday. I am glad you are singing and I think painting is a wonderful idea, it's very relaxing. I've had 3 calls already this morning asking me what I am doing today. I tell them all staying home and shampooing my carpets, lol. I buy a new carpet steamer and I wanna use it darn it, lol.
Love ya,
Cindy xoxoxo

It's good to see you are doing OK.  Do your best and live day to day.  I know it has been difficult and there are some difficult times in the offing as well.  But with a good positive attitude you will be able to endure and get through it all.  Hope your mom will do ok with the chemo  Have a happy tomorrow. : )
