My Tiny

Yesterday was not a good day for me.

Rick was in a bad mood.

He threatened to smash my computer with a hammer.

I told him I wouldn't be on it when he was home.

He got mad at me and said I ignore him.

He yelled in my face.

He made me cry

Then he said he loved me more than anything in the whole world.

So why did he yell at me?

I hope today is better.

I was in a really good mood before all this happened.

Tiny came over to me when I was crying and licked away my tears.

She growled at Rick.

Good girl Tiny

Nicole Got It First! The Winner!

You gotta be fast around here!  Great job Nicole!!!!!

It is a lizard on my kitchen window, it is the outside underneath view.  Tiny goes crazy trying to catch them through the glass!  LOL Barbara

Recording Day

Okay..sorry but no pictures this time...my batteries were recharging.

Yesterday I went in to record my second cd.

As I was getting ready to leave my friend Tomi (a girl) came over and so I invited her along.  She was so funny!  She was as excited as I was.

We were on our way to the studio and got pulled over by the policeman.  Ron the guy that I put harmony on his music had made an illegal turn.

The policeman gave him a warning...

We got there late and I was worried I wasn't going to be able to record all my songs.

First I added some harmony to another one of Rons songs.

Then it was my turn.

The first song was Mayberry.  There were a few setbacks with the equipment at first, but finally we got that one under.

From then on it was record the music, sing.

Okay Bill the recording pro said.  That is a take.

I said : Are you sure?

He said: Yes, it was perfect I won't let you do it again because we got great vocals.

It went like this through the whole recording session.

I got all the songs on the first take.

I will get my cd in 2 weeks.

It took us about 2 hours to record everything.

Bill was really funny.  As I was singing he was in another world.

Some one was actually jamming out to my music.

I had a blast!

He said I had an awesome voice and that it wasn't very often that someone could record that many songs on the first take and record a whole cd in one session.

I just wanted to get it right and not have to redo it.

I sang from my heart and God sent all his angels in to help me reach those high notes.

This was one of the most fun moments I have ever had in my life.

If you are a singer and sing to the dog like I do, you should give it a try too.

Bill said he would like to let some other people listen to my songs...if it was okay with me.

Hmm let me think...

HECK Yeah!

I sang all the songs. I was worried about the last one...My immortal because she has such a distinctive voice.  But Bill insisted it was good so I left it.

I can't wait to hear the whole thing on my own system.

So how did it go?

I'd say GREAT!

Thanks to everyone for all your support!

Once I get the original I can burn cds from my own computer if anyone is interested in hearing me sing.

Big Day!

Okay so today is the day I go to record my music in the professional studio...

I have picked out 9 songs...I hope I have time to record them all.  I practiced this morning and I think it will go ok.

I do have a slight sore throat...but that is probably just nerves.

Here are the songs that I picked...what do you think?

1.  Mayberry by Rascal Flatts

2.  Born To Fly by Sara Evans

3.  But I Do Love You by Leann Rimes

4.  Because You Love Me by JoDee Messina

5.  God Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts

6.  I'm Alright by JoDee Messina

7.  Up! by Shania Twain

8.  You'll Never Walk Alone by Elvis Presley

And if I have time and my voice isn't gone I am going to try to do My Immortal by Evanescence.

Maybe next time I will have the time to write my own music. I think it would be cool if we wrote a Jland song...Whatcha think?

I am leaving at 1:00 so I will check back and see what you guys think.

Wish me luck!

Tiny Is Ticked Off

Yes, that's right.  I pulled a huge gray tick off of my dog Tiny today.

We live near the woods and they jump on her when she is merely minding her own business of squirrel hunting and looking for lizards to play with.

I told my Mom about it and she gave me some flea and tick spray.  I have a collar on Tiny but these are Texas ticks and they have a mind of their own.

I read the directions on the spray and it said not to spray it on cats.  I guess this is because cats give themselves a bath.

Now Tiny acts like a cat sometimes.  She climbs the trees all the way to the top after the squirrels.  She sits on the top of windowsills and chair and sofa backs.

Do you think the ticks can see she is a dog?

Anyway....I decided that I should not spray this stuff on any of my clocks as well.

Because then I would never know what time it was.

I would be left with clocks that only tock.

I wouldn't have anymore tick tocks.

Because the ticks would be gone...and all I would have are tocks.

OH I don't know.....what frustration!

I need a vacation without ticks or tocks.

Just give me a beach, a little shade umbrella a cold drink and a great book to read and I will be just fine.

As for now though I have to eat something quick, wash my hair and get ready for another fun filled day of scanning peoples food and smiling.

Til next time!
