What do I wear?

It has been a long time since I worked in an office....what am I suppose to wear???

It is a country sort of place.......

And then we have todays funny thing that happened.....

We have certain items that are in a basket by our registers and we have to ask EVERY customer if they would like to buy it or they get it for free.

Today I had scruncies in my basket.

Scruncies are the rubber band things you use in your hair to make a pony tail.

I got a kick out of asking the guys if they wanted Scruncies....they would automatically say no.

I would then ask them if they knew what a scruncie was....

One man said....I don't know what it is but if it ain't on the list I can't get it.

Barbara, I would say a blouse and a skirt or slacks would be ok, too funny about the scrunchies, Love and Miss you Lisa XOXO

I'm sure you could ask what the dress code is.....
and I will email you a little story about the scrunchies....

Yes, ask about the dress code.  No doubt it will be business casual.  Slacks, and a  blouse, or a casual dress.  When I worked we could wear jeans but no blue denim ones...so I had black jeans, brown ones, etc. to wear with a nice but not frilly blouse. For starters if you have to buy them, just get some black & navy ones, and two or three blouses, and some flat dark shoes.  Not only do you want to comply with their dress code but you need to be comfortable too.  Linda in Washington state

your working in the office? I'm so confused. I'm sure you can tell a lot of great stories about the customers. LOL.

LMAO I like what the guy said.  Were something casual, but professional.  No jeans, no t-shirt that says' MEGADEATH", take those 5 rings out of your eyebrow and you should be good.  ~ Mike

Just aske about the dress code. I'd bet it's not too formal.
