SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

LIKE MY DADDY ALWAYS TAUGHT ME.

REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS.....AND AGAIN I SAY REJOICE.

OF COURSE THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME RIGHT NOW.

BUT I KNOW MY DADDY IS WITH MY LITTLE SISTER CHRISTI AND THEY ARE CATCHING UP.

I WAS WITH HIM WHEN HE PASSED.

HE FOUGHT ALL WEEKEND.

HE WANTED TO STAY.

HE FELT THERE WAS WORK LEFT TO DO.

THAT'S MY DADDY.

ALWAYS THERE TO LEAN A SHOULDER

TO GIVE A PRAYER

TO WED

TO SEND TO HEAVEN

HE DID SO MANY WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS THAT I WOULD HAVE TO COUNT FOR EVER TO TELL YOU.

I WILL THOUGH.

HE MARRIED RICK AND I.

HE WAS THE BEST DADDY GOD EVER CREATED.

I MISS HIM SO MUCH/

THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS. I CAN FEEL THEM AROUND ME LIKE A WARM BLANKET.

I REJOICE IN THE LORD FOR FRIENDS LIKE YOU WHO TOOK THE TIME TO PRAY FOR ME.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I WAS ALONE IN HIS ROOM WHEN HE WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD. I TOLD HIM IT WAS OK AND THAT I WOULD WATCH OVER MOM.

I SANG TO HIM OFF AND ON ALL DAY.

AS I WAS SINGING TO HIM SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW ONE OF HIS FAVORITE SONGS HE DRIFTED OFF.  I WILL NEVER FORGET THE WAY HE LEFT.

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE LOVE, FUN, WISDOM AND THAT HE WAS MY BIGGEST FAN.

HE ALWAYS ENCOURAGED ME TO LOOK FORWARD AND MOVE UPWARD SO IN HIS HONOR I WILL CONTINUE MY MUSIC, MY ART, MY KINDNESS AND ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I RECEIVED FROM HIM.....MAKING PEOPLE SMILE.

XOXBARB

THANKS TO THOSE WHO LET EVERYONE KNOW FOR ME. I LOVE YOU GUYS SO..

My sympathy goes out to you Barb but I know you know he is in a better place. I was thinking how nice it was that you changed your hair back the way he wanted it even if it was a little while I bet it meant a lot to him. Paula

Sorry, Barbara, I should be strong for you right now.  But I am crying with you.  God took him so fast.  He must have needed a special, a very specail angel to call your Dad home so quiskly.

Remember, you Dad is in your heart.  Whenever you need comforting form him, place your hand over your heart.  You will feel his loving strength surround you.

God be with all of you at this time of pain.  Eternal rest unto your Dad's soul.

I really enjoyed your pictures. Your Dad and Mom look like such good people. You are very blessed.
Both you and your Mom were such beautiful brides, too. I know you will see him again. I lost my parents in '94 and '95. I have to believe that I will see them again.

I can't think of a nicer way to spend your last moments in life then to be surrounded by love.  You showed precious love and your daddy will always be proud of you.  He is looking down on you and smiling.  Thank you for sharing those pictures.  You put a smile on my face with this entry and I hope it made you happy too.  Take care of yourself and your mom.

Barb, I am so sorry for your loss, but so admire your attitude.  I loved reviewing the photos you shared with us.  He had a wonderful life, surrounded by very loving family, didn't he?  It's coming up on the sixth anniversary of my own father's passing, and your entry did bring tears to my eyes.  Although it does get easier, it is hard for so long, but I know that you have a lot of faith and family to keep you at peace.  Please take care and hang in there for the next few weeks.  You wrote a very wonderful tribut to your very wonderful father.

Oh Barbara I'm just about in tears reading this.  Sad for you, sad for Mom and Eric and Rick too.  I know what a very important man your Dad was to you and your family.  It is peaceful to know that he is enjoying his reward in Heaven with your sis.....they will continue to look after you.  I am SO glad you were with him, to comfort him as he left.....to comfort you.  It was good that you told him to GO and reap his reward .......that is such a hard thing to do, but you know he needed to hear it from you - that all would be OK.  Your Mom will need you most in the next year....it will be a tough year for all.  I hope she is feeling better physically.  Tell her LOVE FROM NC comes her way!
I Love you!!!!

You are so blessed to have had a father like you did.  Praise God that he is in HIS loving presence right now and REJOICE that you will see him again.  That is God's promise when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.  When my dad died a year ago, I held on to that promise and it is the one thing that kept me going.  I will see him again and he is safe in the loving arms of God.  How blessed your dad is to know HIM.
Love and all my prayers,
Kathy
