The 5er!!!! Robin is back!!!

      Hi guys!!!

It's Friday and it is time for what Robin calls "THE 5'er!"

If you want to play all you do is cut and paste these questions into your journal. (there is no deadline as to when you can do "The 5'er) When you have answered them come back and leave a link in my Robins comment section.  On the following Friday she will have a new set of questions! Have fun!

This week's theme...Home Sweet Home.

LET'S PLAY!!!

1. What kind of home do you have?  Apartment? Condo? House?

I have an older 2 bedroom, one bath house that we are currently remodeling.  I love my little house by the woods.  It has a huge kitchen that Rick built on and a new room currently being built.  When we got this house it was a sight to behold.  Erics room was dark purple.  The kitchen was like a checker board with red and black squares. Our bedroom was this color...and still is:( And there are at least three layers of linoleum in the living room.

 2.  Did you have a tree house as a kid?

No...but I always wanted one...still do!

3.  Would your dream house be in the city, country, by a lake, by the ocean, in the mountains or on wheels seeing the world?

My dream house is right where it is.  By the woods.  It would be nice to have a pond or river closer so that we could go fishing and swimming....hm maybe one day.

4. If you could have an extra room in your home that you had total control over design and all what kind of room would you create?

I would make a sound recording studio with all my karaoke songs and a play where people could go and sing.

5. And finally....how many houses/apartments have you lived in up to this point. Counting as a child if you can remember that far back.

One in Fort Worth Texas....maybe two...then my parents moved into a trailer until they could find a house when my Dad was transfered to San Antonio.  A couple of houses after that and then in kindergarden my parents moved into a house that I stayed in the rest of my childhood.  They still live in that house. When I was eighteen I moved into my own apartment.  When I met Rick he made me move out because it was in a bad neighborhood, and I moved in with his sister.  After we married we had our own trailer.  And then we bought this house.

Thanks for playing, have fun and be thankful for the roof over your head however, humble or grand it may be.

Now go and let Robin know we are happy she is back with her game!!!! http://journals.aol.com/robinngabster/Thesearethedaysofourlives/entries/1611

Speaking of a recording studio I got your CD a few days ago! I listened on my 45 minute commute to and from work Wednesday and Thursday. You have a BEAUTIFUL voice Barbara!! I am really enjoying listening to you sing! I hope you get that recording studio one day! Martha :-)

maybe Rick will make  you a tree house when he's done with the room. LOL. It would be cool if you had a recording studio.

Look at that manly man in that manly tool belt!!  He is so talented to be building like this.  Mine would look like the Old Woman & her Shoe!!!!!  I love your 5's answers....I'm next to the woods too and a little branch/creek borders us and my Nanny around the back of these here 24 acres.  I like my peaceful patch of dirt.

OH my gosh Robin is back!! Yay!!  And I love the progress Rick is making.  Sounds like you have come a LONG way with the house!!  Would love to have a house by the woods out a bit from where we are.  The neighbors drive me bonkers here sometimes as we are all so close and land in FL is like $1 million dollars for an inch.  Hugs,
Lisa

I enjoyed your reveiw of Rick's construction of your new wonderful addition.    We have been working on my two story surrounding my kitchen 24 ft. by 24 ft. roof dimensions.    We hoisted a 20 foot beam with a "come along wench" yesterday and it is placed between 2 telephone poles that I put in concrete over 15 years ago.   The beam is from a house that was built over 75 years ago and torn down.   It had been on concrete blocks for over 15 years in my yard and treated with linseed and used motor oil.    It would not have been any good in several more years of weather.    A major accomplishment.    I have been too tired and sore at the end of the day and can only rest which is like paradise.    It has been hot here.     Hope to get back to your journal soon.    I will take photos of my progress and make an entry soon.     mark
