Life is Like a ........

Well I guess it is time for an entry.....

A few things have been going on.....

First of all let's get the bad news over with....

Eric called to tell us that on the way to work a few days ago the car started acting up again.  He had to get to work so he had to leave it on the median of Austin highway.

Luckily after work he got it towed to his apartment for 30 dollars...but now we have a broken car until Rick can go check out the situation.

Luckily he has good friends that he works with that he can get a ride to work which is in the next town and too far to walk.

He has given them rides in the past and they are kind enough to return the favor.

I guess Rick is going to have to go and get the car and tow it back here and see if he can fix it.

I am driving the black car again on a spare tire until the flat gets fixed.

The white car doesn't want to start again.....

I hate cars..............

Other than that things are going ok.

I am listening to Aols 111 wussiest songs...so far I like all of them...so I am guessing I must be a wuss.

Right now Ben is playing.  Before that If which was one of my wedding songs.

I was only sceduled for 11 hours at work so I know that is going to pay alot of bills.

Yesterday Rick gave me 30 to go grocery shopping.....HELOO

Have you ever run out of tp and had to search the house for a restaurant napkin?

Have you ever used a coffee filter to drain french fries?

This is my life and welcome to it.

I am looking for the silver lining....the rainbow after the storm and I am one loop short of a bowl of fruit loops.

But life goes on and tomorrow will be here with a whole new set of challenges and I shall soon forget what was driving me crazy today.

great attitude, Barbara. I know $30 barely gets us into the door of the store these days. I hope your car troubles get sorted out soon; its a love and hate relationship with those things; hate them when they don't work and love them when they do. (kinda of like teens, LOL - just kidding).

hugs to you; keep listening to your wussiest songs and put a smile on your face :)

It costs me $30 in gas to get to the store!!  Sounds like you are having some difficulties with the automobiles.  They can be a pain sometimes.  The worst part is having them fixed.  I got burned so many times that I decided it was better for me to fix em myself.  I got a book and started wrenching.  Haven't had to go to a shop in 13 years, and the cars have never run better.

$30 is an insult these days at these prices!  But it is a GOOD price for hauling a dead car away...Eric should be thankful there!

Been there done that and still have to do it at times!   When we go to Taco Bell or McDonald's I always bring home a stash of napkins!  I have used coffee filters or brown paper bags for french fry grease before too.

Being a military wife and living on LOW income one thing I can do it go to the store with 50 bucks and come home with a wad of stuff.  Might not be steak but it will feed us.  One time the military over paid us, we notified them and they didn't do anything about it...until one day Michael didn't get a WHOLE paycheck.  They decided to take it all at once not caring how we would make it without money!

Hang in there it will get better.  If you need some money I can always send ya some let me know.  We have some extra right now from living in the trailer and we were able to save it.  Love you!

I'm laughing at Betty's comment, too funny...
Well your luck has no choice but to get better from here....
Stupid cars... ours are fine at the moment, adding one more in a week when son1 gets his... meanwhile trying to figure out car insurance and it isn't cheap for him and then I got my bill and it wasn't cheap either on top of the electric bill that wasn't pretty.... I hate money... lol...
and I so wish I could give you some of my hours, wait that's it, we have three openings, come and work with me!! :)
Love you, Linda :)

Just don't forget and flush that napkin. Plumbers cost a bundle too. seems like you have a good sense of humor through it all. Paula

That really sucks and your car, I hope you get it all fixed. Sometimes cars suck. I'm not saying that to loud. My car works great so he can't hear what I'm saying. Shhhh. 11 hours wow. How exciting. What is 30.00 suppose to get you at the food store. LOL Geesh. Love you hun. Hugs.
