Now What?

I came home last night after spending the weekend with my Dad and seeing Mom through the surgury.

I woke up this morning and my husband Ricks sister called to tell us that Ricks brother Larry passed away.

When it rains it pours.

I don't even know where to begin on this one.

Larry was a diabetic and very strong willed.  He was stubborn and would not let us put him in a place where he could receive medical attention.  He went out drinking last night and I still don't know all the details but he passed away.

I am not sure what he would have even wanted. He was a hard person to talk to.

He prefered to live the life on the streets as a homeless person.  So when it rains it pours.....

AHHHH Calgon take me away!

I'm so sorry for Larry's passing, Barbara. My sympathies to you and to Rick during this time of grief on top of what you are dealing with your parents. Something that helps me get through times like this "this did not catch the Lord by surprise; he knew this would be happening, he will give me the strength to get through this, I will trust in Him".

my prayers to you and yours

Hi there...I just wanted to let you know my heart goes out to you.  I recently lost my mother to pancreatic cancer and I've also had to take care of my dad.  My mother was a wonderful cook and just watching my dad try to eat something not prepared by her breaks my heart.  He is doing well for the most part and is eating better now but after being married for 42 years...I'm sure his heart is broken too.

I admire your strength, your compassion and your loving support to your parents.  Remember, prayers will get you through it all.

God bless!
