Meeting Amy's grand daughters

My friend Amy came over today and brought a nice surprise.  She brought over her grand babies.  We had a lot of fun singing and playing computer games.

These girls thought I was a kid and Rick was my Daddy.

I can't help it I don't want to grow up!

It was a nice visit.

They didn't want to go home.

They said they were coming back soon.

A is 5 and E is 4.  Very smart little girls.

We sang songs together and I recorded E singing her alphabet which she almost sings the right way and A singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  I will play it for them when they are grown.  I

If you have children you should record them talking and singing.

I have Eric on tape when he was 2 singing all the words to Tomorrow and Somewhere Over the Rainbow and I wouldn't trade it for a million dollars.

I also have him saying his alphabet and numbers.

I also have him telling me the story of Jack and The Beanstalk the way I changed it for him....priceless.

NO if you have children you should NOT record them singing or talking because down the road when they are 20 something and you make them watch it in front of the entire family for "kicks" it's not very exciting for them, at all. :-D Ha.

My momma recently made me suffer through watching me sing a little diddy:
"Here sits Jack and here sits Jill . . . fly away Jack, fly away Jill . . . come back Jack come back Jill." As I did the little hand motions and everything, lordy. How embrassing. *blushing*

what a delightful day you had! The girls are beautiful! You are right; it is so good to get their voices on tape. We have them on VHS movies and its fun to watch them when they were little and to remember all the cute things they said and did because they do grow up so quickly.

Wishing I had done that the day Tara put Tom in time-out and told him it was "not nice to hit people, now say you're sorry"...she was 3 and he had tapped me on the butt.  I wanted to roll in laughter, but I had to play along because she was serious!!!!
Love ya, Sharon

Great idea to record the kids while they are little.  It's more than time for me to get out the video camera.  I can't seem to erase your message on my phone.  LOL. I just love to hear you sing. Hugs,
Lisa

Having the kids recorded on tape should make for a great heirloom.     mark
