Eric broke his leg when he was a baby not even walking yet. He had climbed up on one of my chairs and fallen off. He cried for maybe 10 minutes or so and then he never acted like it bothered him again. It wasn't until he started walking 2 weeks later when we noticed that he couldn't walk on that leg. When we took him to the doctor we were criticized for letting it go for 2 weeks! He never even acted like it hurt him again. It was a small fracture in his tibia and he had to have a cast all the way up to his hip. He actually learned to walk in this cast. Now you know I love my son just like I know you love your kids. Accidents do happen. I just wanted to let you know that I understood. Love ya, Barbara

Awww. I just feel for anyone going through something like this. My husband Rob had to have his arm broken when he was born (stuck in the womb) and it was hard on his mommy and him too. Hugs,
Lisa
Gabby was roller skating one night in a thrift store I managed back in Washington. It was before opening hours and I really didn't want her to do it but she bugged the daylights out of me so I gave in. Seconds later she fell and cried her eyes out.
She landed hard on her wrist and it swelled up pretty bad...she could still move it so we thought she just sprained it. By morning I was sure we needed to have it checked...sure enough she had broken her wrist in THREE places!!! I almost died I felt so bad.
When they are little it is often hard to tell how bad an injury is.
oh my gosh Bethany broke her arm at 10 months trying to get out of her crib, none of the other kids every tried this! Brittany told me Bethany was out of her crib , I didn't beleive her, but then I saw for myself, there she was at the top of the stairs looking down, good thing she didn't try to attempt them! she had , had her shots too, so when she was fussy , so I never gave it a thought that her arm was broke, a few days later she was crawling funny , I thought look she learned a new crawl, how cute, still fussy, So I started to put it all together and took her to the dr's and sure enough it was broke, well a buckle fracture, but she had to have a cast on! at first it was just a wrist cast, but she tried to pull that off so they put a cast on up to her shoulder! KIDS!!!! they are fast. and when they are young and can't talk it's even harder to know!

No problem...I just wanted to let you know that I kind of knew what I was up against. I see that you've been in the same boat...it sucks. They watched us for 30 days, and we almost lost our jobs because of the time we had to take off for it.
Annie =)
They are so quick when they are young :)

You just never know when they are young and can't communicate if they got hurt or not unless they indicate it by crying or whimpering, etc. I know it was always a guessing game with mine when they were young. What's wrong? Should we go to the doctor? Should we give them this or that medicine? You know? You did the best you could; I understand completely where you are coming from with this.
betty
YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED!
STOP BY MY JOURNAL FOR DETAILS!

Same thing happened to my granddaughter. She fell off the bed (11 mo.) and we didn't know she was hurt until next moring when DIL put her down after breakfast to walk. BIG SURPRISE......She couldn't stand on the leg.
I guess that doctor thought you should bring your baby in every time there was the slightest mishap. Then you would be paying to be told you were paranoid. Some doctors act like they are next to god compared to us mere mortals. I have had some really great doctors, and a few that I would like to tell them where to go. I'm glad that it was treated and he has no problems from it. mark
