More Pictures and Adventures

All about the pictures.....

Eric turned 22 on January 5.  He was born 22 years ago today at 1:08 in the afternoon.  He weighed 8lbs and 10 oz.  Big baby for little ole me.  We took La maze classes to prepare for the birth, but when it all came right down to it, I ended up having a cecerian. Rick got to stay in the room.

He was fascinated by the whole thing.

I on the other hand was a little busy.

The doctor told Rick that maybe he shouldn't look and you know what Rick told him?  "Aw that ain't nothin it aint any worse than gutting a deer."  I about died.

That's Rick though he says what he thinks.

When Eric went to meditate in the next picture I tried to follow him into the woods and he politely told me this wasn't cool.  So I left him in his own space.

I found Tiny looking for lizards, her favorite outdoor game.

I love this picture of Eric and I and our shadows because every since he was 2 we have had that as "our song"  even at that young age he could sing all the words to that song.

He also could sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Tomorrow. He doesn't sing so much now, but he does play the guitar and piano very well...better than me and he never had lessons.

Father and son picture turned out well too.  Rick and Eric are best buddies.

It wasn't long until Rick sent Eric to the store to pick something up.

I put in some pictures of Rick.  He doesn't like to have his picture taken either.

Having Eric home didn't stop him from his mission of working on the house, but we pitched in and had fun anyway.  We went to Home Depot with him and dreamed about what kind of floor we were going to have.  I loved the black marble floors, Rick said...think again.  There was also one that looked like leopard print....hmmm.

Last picture is me when Eric is gone.  One thing that keeps me going is knowing how much I am loved and that I will see him again as soon as work permits.  I thank God that he worked out our schedules for this week and we got to spend time with him for his birthday.

I also thank God that he chose to spend it with us.

I go back to work today. hope I can still remember everything LOL

Next week I will request more hours.

Rick is going to have to make a trip to Austin tomorrow to see about a broken belt on Erics car. I won't be able to go as I will be working, it's okay though because it will be a quick trip and just another time to have to say goodbye.

Have a super day Ya'll!  I am going to paint again today

I am working on horses now.

I LOVE the pictures! You are a great lil' family! Your son is a great son and man, you did good with him Barbara. What does he meditate for? Is it a spiritual thing or a mind body thing? Both? I am interested now...you got my attention, lol!!

I am so impressed that your son chose to spend his birthday with his family.  The pictures are really great.  I am loving that deck and your future livingroom!  Sounds like we are both married to men who can build.  Hugs,
Lisa

I think it's great that at 22 he still wants to see his parents.  I have a 19 year old daughter and twins boy girl who are 15.  I'm so close to my kids. I think that is so cool that you are all so close. Keep up the good work mom and dad.
