I Hate Mornings

Hello!

Well I made it to work on time!!! The very first thing I had to do was drive all the electric carts outside.  Oh brother!!! I have never driven one of these in my entire life and now I have to go park 5 of them in this tiny little space and plug them in ... okay

I told them that we were all missing out on a lot of money.

If they would just set up a hidden camera, we could make a fortune off of America's Funniest Home Videos.  The first episode would show me on the day of retriving shopping carts from the parking lot, that one could have probably won at least second place, but today would have been the big winner.  After I figured out that you have to turn the opposite way to go the way you want, and ran into some of the barbeque pits they had for sale outside, ( ever wonder where the dents come from?) I finally managed to park them and then, they wouldn't reach the plug in......needless to say this chore took longer than it was suppose to.  Hopefully they won't schedule me at that hour too much.

After that I was on a register for 3 hours with the most unpatient people I have ever run across.

You know those nice people who bring donuts into the office for every one to share?  Well they aren't so nice when they go to buy them, giving themselves only a few minutes before they need to be at work.  There was a lot of huffing and puffing this morning while they were waiting their turn in line to pay.  NOt to mention the fact that I would have killed anyone for one more cup of coffee and that is what everyone had drinking waiting in line.

Before I went on my break the manager told me I was going to have to take a produce test when I came back on.  I asked her if she knew it was only my fourth day.  I spent my short fifteen minute break shoving a donut and diet pepsi down my throat and a quick cig while cramming for my produce test.

I did fine on the test, it was mostly just identifying fruits and veggies.  Then I had to take a bagging test.  I did okay on that one too.  Really I don't think you get in trouble for not doing well on the test, it is just to help you learn where you need to work on something.

Any way when I got off work I decided it was time to get some groceries for our own house.  So I went shopping.  Lesson one:

Always go home and change out of your uniform first or you will be stopped one hundred times with people thinking you are working and ask you for help.

It is not that I mind helping people, it's just that I don't want to spend 2 hours in the store doing my own shopping.

I didn't get home until after one.  I put away all my groceries after I scanned them for the survey company that I belong to and then ate an apple.

Next thing I know I had passed out.

I woke up at 6 o'clock and now I have to go and cook dinner.  I am making spagetti tonight.  Anyone hungry?\

Sorry I didn't get back to you today Holly I was in snooze ville.

I go back tomorrow at 4 so I will have the morning to catch up on things I need to do around here.

I went to go look at my map I made yesterday and there I am in Texas....all by myself :( No one has gone by yet.

Well I'm off to cook some supper, check back later.

lol, those carts really do look tricky!  Funny story--all that work and then they wouldnt reach the plug. Sounds like my kind of luck!

I bet being a cashier, you probably come across the general rudeness from the general public, just as being a server.  Its amazing how ignorant people can be.

oooo A nap! One of my favorite things ever! :)  Glad you got some r & r!!
